This season for me has me focusing in a different direction. I keep coming back to this idea of slowing down into the holidays. I look at my kids and realize that this is the childhood they will remember.  Its not something that’s in the future.  It is now.  With smartphones and social media we have created a 24 hour work cycle that doesn’t allow for quality family time. I want to challenge you to do something. This holiday season, slow down and look around.  We just finished Thanksgiving and we are moving into the Christmas season. Life Reminders from Hannah

Presents are wrapped. Plans have been made. Lists have been checked. Menus have been written. Ugly sweaters are ready. Then you are reminded from the prayer of a child that we over complicate life.  That was me yesterday. I use the TimeHop app on my iPhone.  It sends you notifications daily as to what you posted on social media in previous years.  A year ago I posted the prayer of my then 3 year old daughter Hannah: “Dear Jesus, Thank you we have food, thank you for my Mommy and Daddy, and that I have no reason to cry. Amen Christmas should be simple. We are celebrating the birth of the Savior of the World.  Jesus came to us in a manger wrapped in cloth.  A humble King. Thank you Hannah for the reminder that Christmas is about making memories with family.  Its a chance to go look at Christmas lights, drink hot chocolate, and watch Elf (best christmas movie ever!)  These are the memories that I hope you have when you get older.  Memories of being thankful for what we have and the people that are around you that love you. Life should be simple. Memories are free.  Grab some hot chocolate and go look at Christmas lights tonight with someone that you love.  You will not regret...

I am really excited to tell everyone that I get to open for Jaci Velasquez on December 4, 2014 at Bayside Church in Citrus Heights, CA. Jaci Velasquez has sold almost five million albums around the world, recorded three Platinum and three Gold albums, and recorded 16 singles that hit No. 1 plus six more that hit the top-10.
